IVR or Interactive Voice Response
If you get calls from all over (the local region or the entire country) and you need to dispatch the calls to different phone numbers, then you need an IVR Solution. The calls can be dispatched based on a number of criteria, such as by the location of the caller or you can have the caller enter some geographic information, usually zip code. If you dispatch by the caller's location, the computer figures that out. If you dispatch by zip code, you only need to tell the solutions provider the zip code of the recipient of the calls. The computer determines the distance between the zipcode entered by the caller and the zip code of your nearest dealers and routes the call to the closest. There are a number of other predefined routing algorythims which you can use or you can request a specific dispatching system to meet your needs.
